Elite Electric Service, L.L.C. is a full service electrical contractor with a strong background in service, remodels, and repairs. As of Nov. 01, 2009 a joint venture between Brett H. Piatt of Pleasant Hill, IA and John A. Putney of Urbandale, IA,. The owners & primary electricians pride themselves on high quality workmanship and attention to detail. We are a small locally owned shop that focuses on long term relationships, one customer at a time. Simple jobs ranging from ceiling fan installs, changing a switch, ballast, fixture, or outlet, to new custom home construction (incl. hi-end), updates, basement finishing, hot tubs, spas, garages, landscape lighting, GFCIs, arc faults, anything electrical, we do it all.

Residential remodels, additions, and custom lighting systems are John's strengths.  With 28+ years electrical construction and service experience, John will blow you away with his knowledge, skill, and professionalism.  When it comes to high quality custom installations, one meeting with him will provide you the confidence our existing customers already know. John operates out of Urbandale.

Brett Piatt, well known as a troubleshooting specialist, has 28+ years electrical diagnostic & repair experience. Shorts, ground faults, opens, flickers, even intermittents are no problem.  He operates out of Pleasant Hill.  He knows single or three phase systems, 120/208, 120/240, 277/480 volt, open delta, Delta, or Wye wound transformers……bring it on. Don’t forget motors, controls, automated systems, preventative maintenance and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Estimates are cheerfully provided on jobs projected to last more than one day. Small jobs welcome, but classified as service work. These smaller projects are performed on a Time and Material basis, with a minimum charge of a one hour service call. Normal service area…….35 mile radius of Des Moines, but our statewide licenses allow us to work anywhere in the state of Iowa. We will go wherever we are needed.
